16-Hour Self-Defense For Law Enforcement
Today, more than ever, law enforcement professionals are dealing with situations that require the use of hand-to-hand combat. One of the greatest threats a law enforcement professional will face is being in close quarters/hand-to-hand tactical situations without the proper training to deal with and protect themselves.
This course aims to give law enforcement professionals the skill set and practical training necessary to defend themselves in a hand-to-hand tactical situation and create more efficiency in an arrest and control situation.
The law enforcement professional will be able to identify threat level (hand-to-hand vs. lethal force), develop an understanding of reactive/preemptive strategies as well as execute the techniques learned in this course in the event of a hand-to-hand tactical situation.
The techniques from the Self Defense for LE Course are tried and proven martial
arts that cover standing and ground resistance attacks on officers with weapons awareness. All techniques are easy to learn for all skill levels, making them more reliable and confident for the officer under pressure.
At the end of this course, officers can apply the following techniques in stressful and dangerous situations. The repeatability of the methods in our curriculum will allow the officers to apply these techniques regardless of size, age, or threat.
Officers will be able to define the methods by name, identify the threat level, and demonstrate each technique and be tested throughout the course.
This POST course has been attended by hundreds of officers and security professionals in the greater St. Louis and St. Charles, Missouri regions.
These two full days safely push the physical and mental limits of even the most fit and seasoned officers. With my expert instruction knowledge, we safely conduct the course so that all who attend leave stronger, more confident, and more prepared to respond appropriately to a hand-to-hand, highly dynamic situation.
The course covers many repetitions and dialogue to limit response time best needed to make a decision and act under stress in a close-contact situation
